Kcee was raised in Lagos State, he spent his childhood in a ghetto area and his father who was a well known Dj, was responsible for his upbringing together with his mother.
Kcee attended the centre high school in isolo where he received his primary school education, also attended the University of Nsukka where he gain his Theatre Art degree.
He also talked about how life is in the ghetto and how difficult it is to survive, struggle and Hussle in the ghetto, his dreams and focus is to be famous but not in music but football cause he love playing football.
And his biggest dreams was becoming a professional player, he even managed to play for two football clubs "Julius berger and puma" at his young years.
Everything changed when he joined the church choir and discovered that he love singing, tho at first he joined for the fun.

Since he is the son of a professional Dj, he is already used a lots of genres and familiar with various compositions.
When Kcee made a decision to pursue his career in music, he gain approval and supports from his mother, but his father was against it, because he want his son to become a lawyer or a doctor, but when Kcee start bringing home every money he earn from the shows he performed, his father give him his approval and support as well.

The group "kcpresh" was start by Kcee and his friend presh real name Precious John, both started they journey to stardom in church choir, where they became friends, decided to grow their musical career and friendship as same choir members, the group was form along with they two other friends "Domino and Emmy" who later fell off the group after sometime.

They both entered a competition "Star Quest competition" after the Kano-born hip hop singer Idris Abdulkareem advised them to do so, for emerging winners at the competition they were offered a 4years music contract with the Nigeria biggest record label Kennis music and also they received a one million naira cheque.
They performance at the competition also earn them more award such as "BEST AKWA CROSS ARTIST" year 2006, "THE MOST PROMISING ACT" year 2002, "BEST COLLABORATION, BEST SOUTH-SOUTH ARTIST" [Niger Delta] year 2006 and others.

Kcee and presh ended their musical relationship in 2011,when they both decided to go pursue solo careers, they both broke into stardom in the year 2006 when they won the star quest competition hosted by Kennis music.
After the split he currently had a record deal with five star music, still own by his younger brother Emeka Okonkwo E-Money, where he worked with Harry Song, Skibii and Del B, a record producer known for producing the song "Limpopo".
The career of Kcee mostly skyrocketed after the release of his popular song "Limpopo" this single became really famous and loved by many Nigerians and it brought Kcee to limelight of Nigerian Afro-pop music.
In 2013, Kcee release his debut album "Take over", for many of the songs featured on the album he collaborated with many great and popular Nigerian artists such as wizkid, Timaya, Don Jazzy, D'banj, Phyno, Davido, Flavour, Harry song, Iyanya, Skibii, and lots more.
And his album gain him a lot nomination and Awards.

His Marriage Life
Lately it become the public knowledge that Kcee is married after he has been hiding his marital status from the public claiming to be single for many years, it was made known publicly when he celebrated his 8th wedding anniversary. It Seen surprising because Kcee and his wife has never been seen together in public.
Talking about his marriage life, Kcee is reportedly married to a beautiful young woman called Ijeoma Oduah Okonkwo they got married in 2010, it was also reported that they have given birth to two children.
After a brief interview with Kcee on why claiming single for many years and hiding his marital status from the public, he confessed that he doesn't like talking about his marital life publicly, for him it a very private matter.
Kcee and ijeoma are one of the perfect example of couple who keep they private life and public life separate.

Kcee is best known for his relationship with his multi-billioniare younger brother Emeka Okonkwo, well known as E-Money. Who was born on the 18th February 1981.
Kcee and his brother has a friendly and lovely relationship and they spend time together anytime they both can, they a lots of photos of the two brother together on Internet and where both are Seen having a lot of fun, it like they are celebrating they Brotherhood every day.
