As for West Ham, defeat at home to Crystal Palace last time out will have disappointed Manuel Pellegrini, and his side will be out to return to winning ways this weekend.

West Ham are looking leggy out there you sense Pellegrini would just be happy now to get them into half-time a goal down.

With the likes of Wilshere, Snodgrass and Yarmolenko on the bench, the manager may make changes at the interval to take the game to Everton  after all, it's not as if the Toffees are hugely solid at the moment.

West Ham are trying to gain a foothold here  and this is better as Noble finds Fornals with a lovely long ball.

Sadly for West Ham, the chance is just too difficult as Fornals heads at Pickford but it's encouraging after a flat start.

It's all well and good shooting from there, but with team-mates better placed, Marco Silva will want his players to take advantage of their current dominance.

Everton are moving the ball about confidently now  Alex Iwobi finds space 25 yards out and fizzes a low effort at goal, but Roberto gets down and holds it.

West Ham are rattled at the moment - Richarlison surges down the left wing and into the box, but his cut-back is blocked out before Roberto takes a tumble courtesy of a team-mate - not a great couple of minutes for the keeper.

Everton are ahead! It's a beautiful, baffling goal from Bernard as he breaks the offside trap to slip through onto a defence-splitting pass... but he then opts to turn back on himself.

The shooting opportunity is seemingly gone, but the Brazilian then turns the Hammers defence inside out, gets to the byline, and pokes the ball past Roberto from an acute angle and into the net! Roberto should not really have been beaten from that angle, but his defence didn't exactly cover themselves in glory either.
