Real Madrid are preparing to offer Gareth Bale plus £70 million ($90m) for Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling - according to Sky Sports.
The Blancos could launch a bid in January, with club president Florentino Perez aware the England star's value could increase exponentially over the next 12 months.
Sterling's representatives met with Madrid general director Jose Angel Sanchez to discuss a possible deal earlier this year, but a final agreement was never reached.
